JISH Early Intervention Program (JISH EIP)
JISH Early Intervention Program (JISH EIP) offers variety of center-based therapeutic and support services for infants and toddlers with disabilities and their families. Upon enrollment, the child will be assessed using “The Carolina Curriculum Assessment for Infants and Toddlers”. Based on the results of the assessment, an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) will be designed for the child.
Primary Objectives of JISH Eearly Intervention Program
To enhance children’s development skills including gross motor skills, fine motor skills, cognitive skills, speech and language skills, self- help skills and social – emotional skills.

- Parent training for parents of Hearing Impaired infants and toddlers.
- Hanen ® parent training “It takes two to talk”.
- Speech pathology and audiology services.
These services are provided by Early Intervention team lead by Dr. Nahla Ahmed Dashash (Clinical Services Director, PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders in the area of Child Language from Howard University, Washington D.C., USA).
Eligibility for JISH Early Intervention Program:
Children under 4 years of age and at risk for a developmental delay or have an established development delay/disability.
Children at Risk
- Premature infants.
- Low Birth Weight infants
- Infants and Toddlers with long term hospitalization for different medical conditions (e.g. Leukemia)
- Failure to Thrive.
- Medically Fragile.
- Chromosomal Anomalies (e.g. Down Syndrome).
- Neurological Disorders (e.g. Cerebral Palsy).
- Intellectual Disabilities (Mentally Challenged).
- Sensory Disorders (e.g. Hearing Impaired and Visually Impaired).
- Learning Disabilities.
- Developmental Disorders (e.g. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder ADHD/ADD and Autism).
- Multiple Disabilities
